Yehoshua Chapter 14- Erev Pesach, 14 Nissan (Wednesday April 12)

Yehoshua - Chapter 14- English text with Rashi

Eretz Yisrael west of the Jordan is divided among the remaining tribes by lots, administered by Yehoshua and Elazar the Kohen Gadol (HIgh Priest.)
Kalev approaches Yehoshua and asks for his portion of land, as a reward for his faithfulness as a meragel (spy) for Moshe, who had promised him the land that he had stood on. Yehoshua gives him the city of Chevron.

R' Yaakov Bieler on Kalev (including his connection to Chevron)
