Yehoshua Chapter 10 - 10 Nissan- Shabbos haGadol (Shabbos April 8)

Yehoshua - Chapter 10- English text with Rashi

Adoni-Tzedek, the king of Jerusalem, forges a coalition to attack the Givonim for their treaty with Israel. The Givonim appeal to Yehoshua to protect them. In a stunning victory, the Jews defeat this coalition, aided by miracles, including a hail storm which kills many of the enemy.
Yehoshua utters a poetic prayer, asking Hashem to make the sun stop and extend the fighting time, which occurs.
All of the kings are pursued, killed and hanged until nightfall.
Many of the prominent cities in the south of Canaan are destroyed and conquered.
